A gas line professional will inspect all gas appliances within your residence. To exemplify; furnace, water heater, stove, gas logs... Pressure testing fuel lines, checking for gas leaks.
Our Inspectors are also capable of testing the air conditioner. Checking the amp draw on the electrical components can give you a better idea and understanding of the condition and life expectancy of the equipment.
If there's a leak in the fuel line, and the room should fill with gas, even a tiny spark could ignite the gas cloud.
Another reason is the air to gas mix ratio. If an appliance does not have enough air supply or even the burners becoming dirty over time, can cause the flame to have inadequate combustion. This would require additional analysis to further identify potential unsafe scenarios.
Buying or selling a home? Give yourself and your family peace of mind by having your gas appliances and gas lines inspected for safety, codes, and operations. We do not do repairs or installations, we pride ourselves for not just trying to upsell a furnace or create other work to make money. The conflict of interest is off the table. Just a straight up honest inspection to provide you with as much knowledge and understanding of your gas appliances.
Furnace operation will be evaluated overall for condition of equipment.

In addition, testing the Heat Exchanger with a combustion analyzer. To simplify, the analyzer tests the amount of CO (Carbon Output) the furnace is producing. Too high of a CO reading indicates the gas is burning too pure, and will need servicing and/or cleaning. Too high of oxygen levels may indicate a cracked/fractured heat exchanger. A compromised heat exchanger is a serious situation that will require further part replacement or maintenance.
Thorough testing operation of the gas logs will be performed to identify impurities in the flame. Most gas log units have a sand/rock covering over the burner. That helps flare the flame for a cleaner burn. Flames should be mostly blue/orange; however, some yellow is okay. Too much yellow in the flames creates soot; this then leads to ad
Thorough testing operation of the gas logs will be performed to identify impurities in the flame. Most gas log units have a sand/rock covering over the burner. That helps flare the flame for a cleaner burn. Flames should be mostly blue/orange; however, some yellow is okay. Too much yellow in the flames creates soot; this then leads to additional troubleshooting and potential trouble points as a homeowner you will want to quickly resolve.
Some of the newer gas log units have a slow burn design. The flames are yellow, but operationally this is known as a clear yellow; which is normal.
Testing the air conditioner consists of checking temperature differential, refrigerant pressure, amp draw readings of compressor and condenser fan motor. A visual inspection of the electrical components will be performed. In addition, inspecting the drain hose and filter. We'll also check the overall condition of the equipment and look for past evidence of damage or neglect.
We Pressurize the fuel lines and check it with a manometer. If the manometer shows a drop in pressure then that would indicate pressure is being lost somewhere in the home. Our reports will provide a photo of the manometer at the beginning of the pressure test, and at the end.
